School and Child Care Search Service
The School and Child Care Search Service has gathered many resources within this website to help all families who are searching for child care and schools and invite you to use these as you research options.
For those families who currently work or go to school at Columbia University, or who are being recruited to work here or have been accepted as students, The School and Child Care Search Service provides personalized support in finding:
- In-home care for children
- Early child care options in the greater New York metropolitan area
- Public, parochial and independent schools in the greater New York metropolitan area
- Boarding schools
- Special needs schools and programs
- After school, holiday and summer camp programs
Through workshops and personal consultations, the School and Child Care Search Service can help you become familiar with admissions and financial aid procedures, learn about tutoring and test prep, and, for parents with high school students, can also provide advice to supplement college guidance.
Columbia families can contact the School and Child Care Search Service through an online inquiry form. The information provided on this form will help our staff to guide you appropriately in your school or child care search. Once your completed form has been received by our office, we will contact you to set up a mutually convenient appointment.
You can also contact us by email or by telephone.
The School and Child Care Search Service staff consults with Columbia families in their office, will come to your office, or by telephone and by email. The Service is also willing to hold workshops at various campus locations.
We appreciate hearing from you with your suggestions and with information about other relevant resources that you would like to share with our Columbia University community.
