Note from CU Public Safety: How to Properly Secure Your Bike

Always secure your frame & tire to a Bolted down bike rack, otherwise someone can release your bike frame & walk away with it.

Remember to utilize U-type bicycle locks, securing both the wheel and frame to a bicycle rack. Avoid using the cable type of lock that can be easily cut by a thief.

Public Safety Offers discounted bike locks at cost & FREE bike registration with the NYPD & CU Public Safety. For more information please call CU Public Safety Crime Prevention at 212-854-8513.
