New York Road Runners Summer Youth Series

The New York Road Runners (NYRR) is offering a Summer Youth Series, a free seven- week running program for elementary school through high school aged students interested in running.  Weekly sessions are held in three New York City parks and include guided runs and fun fitness activities for all athletic abilities.

No previous running experience is required and parents are encouraged to join. 

All sessions meet from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The weekly schedule:

Thursdays: Central Park, Manhattan: July 14- August 25, 2011

(Meet at Engineer's Gate on East 90th St. and Fifth Ave.)

Tuesdays: Prospect Park, Brooklyn: July 12 - August 23, 2011

(Meet at Grand Army Plaza off of Flatbush Ave.)

Wednesdays: Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, July 13 - August 24, 2011

(Meet at the Tortoise and the Hare Statue on Broadway)
