Sign up for the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge

The 36th running of the highly popular J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge will be held on either Wednesday, June 13, or Thursday, June 14, 2012, with a starting time of 7:00 p.m. This is a 3.5 mile run that will take place in Central Park.  All the details for the 3.5-mile team event is available online here.

Once you’re on this website, look for Columbia University and register. It is in alphabetical order.

The entry fee is $45 per person and can be paid for by credit card. There is a credit card fee of $1.75 for individual payments. Please note that this is not something Columbia University is promoting or paying for; rather, this is an opportunity for us to promote health and fitness in the workplace and foster goodwill and camaraderie amongst our employees.

Each participant must register online in order to be officially entered and eligible to run. Participants certify that they are medically fit to run and fulfill the listed employment requirements:

  • Participants must be actively employed, working a minimum of 25 hours a week for at least three months prior to race day for the company they are representing.
  • Temporary employees, employees on leave, and sub-contractors are not eligible.

Walkers and joggers are welcome! And there is no obligation for a team to wear matching shirts or a company shirt.

Please note: Registration begins on Tuesday, March 13, 2012. No additions will be allowed once the company entry has been finalized. No race day entries will be accepted. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable even in the case of event cancellation.

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is a world-wide series of 3.5-mile running events open to groups of employees from organizations within the business and public sectors. Participants may register only as part of a company team - no individual entries are accepted. After the race, each organization groups its participants into an unlimited number of four-person scoring teams in order to determine the race's top teams. Awards are presented for individual and team performances.

The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge strives to make a difference through a donation to a not-for-profit organization in each host city, and through our Teaming Up For a Greener Tomorrow program, an initiative designed to make the Corporate Challenge the world's greenest road race.  For each entry, the JPMorgan Chase Foundation will make a donation to the Central Park Conservancy, which helps maintain Central Park.
