A New Listserv for Columbia Families with PreKindergarten-Age Children

“What do I need to do to apply for the Gifted & Talented program for my child?”
“How does financial aid work at private schools and how do I know if our family would be eligible?”
“What can I do if I’m not pleased with my zoned public school option, but can’t afford a private school for my child?”

The Office of Work/Life is pleased to introduce the Worklife-Kindergarten2012 Listserv which we created especially for Columbia families with children who will be attending Kindergarten in a New York City public, parochial or independent school in 2012-2013.  Columbia families with older children who are willing to share helpful information about their experiences are also welcome, as are those with young children who want a preview of what is to come.

We invite you to join this Listserv as a way of exchanging information about the New York City Kindergarten admissions and enrollment process and networking with one another.  By sharing information, we can all help support the success of Columbia families as they raise PreKindergarten-age children in New York City.
