Columbia Business School: International Globetrot Step Challenge
Let's step around the world to experience an exciting array of food, animals, culture and more! Through this digital step challenge, we will journey through South and Central America, The United States, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Monday, July 18 – Friday, July 29
Participants will aim for 7,000 steps daily to contribute to team CBS’s steps around the globe.
At the end of the challenge, prizes will be awarded to participants in the following categories:
- CHALLENGE MVPs: (1 staff & 1 faculty) the participants with the highest total step count by the challenge end
- TOP STEPPERS: three participants with the highest total step count by the challenge end (excluding the MVP)
- BEST CHEERLEADER: one participant who has shown consistent encouragement for Team CBS by rooting for others and keeping the team energized
- STEP CONTRIBUTOR RAFFLE: all participants who have contributed to the Team CBS Step Total will be entered in a raffle to win healthy prizes.
You can create your MoveSpring account on a computer or by downloading the MoveSpring app to your mobile phone. When prompted, use the organization code CUWELL.

When you sign up for MoveSpring, you connect a wearable device, smartphone, or selected manual entry to track your steps. Here is how to make sure your steps and all other activities count:
- Remember to sync your data from your device to the app to update your total steps each day. Learn more about syncing here as it varies by the type of device you have.
- Count other physical activity (e.g.: yoga or biking) and wheelchair distance towards your step goal by using the activity converter on MoveSpring.
