Pre-K & Kindergarten NYC Newsletter Update
As the Office of Work/Life continues to evolve its school search resources, we have decided to pause publication of the Pre-K and Kindergarten Newsletter while we evaluate which resources are most helpful for our families. While new issues are not being published at this time, our archive of previous newsletters from last year's admissions cycle will remain available and continue to be a valuable resource for families navigating the school admissions process in New York City. The archive includes information about admissions timelines, application strategies, and school options that families may continue to reference throughout the application process. As with all admissions cycles, dates and requirements change year to year. Please ensure that you have the current dates for the current application cycle for the 2027-28 school year. For the most up to date information please regarding each application process please use the following links:

Families are also encouraged to explore the resources available on the Office of Work/Life's Elementary School Information page, which provides current guidance and links to additional school search resources.
The Office of Work/Life's School & Child Care Search Service continues to offer a wide range of services, including a number of educational workshops to help families successfully navigate the admissions process, as well as helpful information on a range of other topics. You can find a list of these workshops here.
