Meditation is an ancient practice that promotes peace and mental clarity. It is a habitual process of mind-training that offers endless benefits such as stress-relief, focus, compassion, better sleep, and much more. With a productivity-oriented culture and constant exposure to technology, it is becoming even more important to incorporate self-care practices such as meditation to connect with oneself and experience calm. In this workshop we will: * Understand the philosophy & science of meditation * Review suitable postures and modifications for all bodies * Learn about the history & various styles of meditation * Clarify common misconceptions There will be time for Q&A. Instructor: Prerna Bhatia is a meditation teacher, yoga instructor, and wellness educator. A graduate of Columbia University’s Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teacher’s College, Prerna is an expert on the impact of technology on human psychology, physiology, and spirituality. She also hosts a podcast called Technically Spiritual, where she explores self-inquiry in a digital age.
