Experience deep relaxation weekly with Yoga Nidra, a meditation technique that deeply heals stress from the mind through guided visualizations. During this practice, the body rests in a lying down or seated position while the mind transcends different levels of consciousness, dropping beneath mental and emotional activity. Learn more about Yoga Nidra from our instructor Prerna Bhatia in this introductory video.
Instructor: Prerna Bhatia is a meditation teacher, yoga instructor, and wellness educator. A graduate of Columbia University’s Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Teachers College, Prerna is an expert on the impact of technology on human psychology, physiology, and spirituality. She also hosts a podcast called Technically Spiritual, where she explores self-inquiry in a digital age.
Zoom link will be sent to registrants prior to the event.
Meditation set up: The practice is traditionally done laying down on a yoga mat or blanket on the floor (not in a bed). Sitting back in a relaxed posture is recommended as an alternative. If you are laying down, using a pillow is recommended. A blanket over the body, a pillow under the knees, and a towel over the eyes are great additions as well.
