Navigating Elder Care Decisions with Your Siblings

March 12, 2025
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
America/New_York
Online

Elder care challenges can be difficult to identify and address.  Working through these challenges with siblings can either make things easier or more difficult depending on the sibling relationship and whether you agree—or not—on the issues, the goals for your aging parent or loved one, and how best to move forward. The first step to tackling any challenge is to recognize what’s going on.  The second step is to begin answering the big question of “Now what?”

This workshop will explore tips and wisdom on approaches to managing sibling relationships as you work toward sound elder care decisions.

Presenter: Lauren Taylor, Columbia University School of Social Work Senior Lecturer and oral historian with more than 30 years' experience in aging and elder care.
