Columbia University’s Weight Control Center, part of Columbia Endocrinology, is offering an intensive and interactive, registered dietitian-led weight management group to faculty and staff this spring. In a small group setting intended to give each participant a voice and individualized attention, participants will set realistic goals and an action plan to enable new, healthier habits, and success on their weight loss journey.
*Weekly participation is recommended to enable success for all participants in the group. This intensive program is intended to support those looking to at least lose 3-5% of body weight.
Dates: 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, 3/2, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/6, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4
**No Class on 2/17 and 4/13**
Instructor: Jamie Leskowitz, MS RD, is the Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator practicing at the Weight Control Center. Specializing in weight management in patients with metabolic disorders, including pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and cardiac conditions, Jamie supports her patients in achieving a healthy weight by encouraging healthy and sustainable lifestyle practices.
Fee: $60 per week, which is covered by Columbia University’s health plan, United Healthcare. Please check with your insurance carrier to ensure coverage of Medical Nutrition Therapy or Counseling by a Registered Dietitian prior to registration.
