Columbia Health Sexual Violence Response (SVR) presents Peace and Presence sessions during October and November.
The series is offered as part of October's Relationship Violence Awareness Month and includes diverse holistic wellness workshops for the Columbia community. The Peace and Presence sessions explore non-verbal and experiential healing techniques, self-calming tools, and guide participants in incorporating mindfulness into one's daily life.
Journal & Flow - October 17 & 24
A workshop weaving intentional journaling exercise with a gentle stretching flow, guided breathing, and meditation. These exercises help tap into inner reflection to support growth and setting boundaries.
Nervous System Regulation: Caring for the Self - October 29 & November 7
Learn about nervous system regulation in this experiential and educational 90-minute workshop. We will practice breathing exercises, learn somatic practices for grounding and balance, as well as different mindfulness and herbalism tips to use when we are feeling triggered or dysregulated.
Sessions are open to faculty, staff, and students.
