The Office of the Vice Provost for Faculty Support and Work/Life supports the academic mission through a variety of events and resources for faculty throughout their careers, including social and cultural events that offer early career faculty opportunities to connect with colleagues across the University.

Early Career Faculty Fall Outdoor Social 

Celebrate the fall semester over food, drinks, and family-friendly activities at Ellington in the Park. Significant others and children are welcome.

Ghost and Paranormal Tour of Morningside Campus  

Join your fellow faculty members for a lesson in the paranormal connections of the University, hear the story of the ghost of Philosophy Hall, and embark on a short visit to Columbia’s tunnel system. Stop by Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor afterwards to continue talking over an Upstate Weekend IPA or a Boylan’s Ginger Ale.

A Walk Through Columbia History: Morningside Campus Tour 

Gather with colleagues to learn a bit of Columbia history, hear stories and legends of the University,  while strolling the Morningside campus. Stop by Arts and Crafts Beer Parlor afterwards to continue talking over an Upstate Weekend IPA or a Boylan’s Ginger Ale.
